Petri Dish Art is made by encapsulating alcohol ink in ArtResin within a reusable silicone mold. The ink pushes through the resin creating vibrant ribbons and colorful "petrified" squiggles.

What Supplies You Need:

  • ArtResin® epoxy resin
  • ArtResin® Alcohol Ink
  • ArtResin® Ink Sinker
  • 1 silicone mold
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 mixing stick
  • 1 pair of disposable gloves

    How To Make It:

    1. Mix up a batch of ArtResin into your mixing cup (equal parts resin and hardener). Pour approximately 3oz of ArtResin into each mold cavity.
    2. Using the alcohol ink, drop your favorite colors directly from the bottle into your resin. After using the color, drop the white Alcohol Ink Sinker over each of your color drops. The Ink Sinker helps to drive the colors through the resin.
    3. Cover your mold and leave it to cure overnight (between 12 – 24 hours).
    4. 24 hours later, remove your cured petri dish art from the silicone mold and see how they turned out.
    5. Do it again and again! Experiment and get funky :)
